Filled vias produced by Diablo Industries Thin Film are qualified for use in space borne microelectronic circuits. The rigorous testing process included film adhesion, thermal shock (15 cycles, liquid nitrogen [-196°C] to boiling water [100°C] ), electrical resistance, thermal cycle and die sheer. The conclusions were that DITF filled vias meet all qualification requirements for space borne applications with and without components attached over copper filled vias.
